Lesser Whistling Duck

Dainty-looking duck with a contrasting dusky-browncrown and nape. Much of the face, neck and breast light brown, while upperparts rich dark brown with rufous fringes, giving a scaly appearance to the back. Flight feathers are black, flanks are marginally fringed white.

Cotton Pygmy Goose

A small, compact looking waterfowl, largely white and green. Male has a metallic green crown and an iridescent band at the base of the neck, giving a necklaced appearance. In flight, a white band stretching from the primaries to the base of the sedondaries is clearly visible. Female is less strongly marked and lack the green iridescent of the males.
