Black-headed Gull

A small, tern like gull with black-tipped red bill. Wings and mantle pale grey, legs and feet dark red. Head is white with dark ear spot, with grey smudging on crown. Fist-winter bird has paler bill, duller legs and a broad greyish brown band across upperwing coverts.
